When a person becomes aware of the world, she acquires it and forms an interactive whole; and through that she fulfils the God-given-present of life. If the aforementioned is practiced through thoughts – it is Philosophy, Myth and Science. If it is practiced in self-searching, living in harmony and soul-calmness, then she is built in a Religion.
However, when it is expressed and reflected through the senses, emotions; in talent spirit – enlightened with skills; then it is Blessed as ART – creation through new forms in a shape of newly – presented existence.
It is not easy to practice living in a time and space of Omny - present dominant state of “postmodernism”.
In this time-space when/where everything is measured through moments - ephemeris; as a real hope comes the “daring” to proclaim the acceptance of the primordial need to create, look and leave for the future; to one-built oneself in the continuity.
Through this example, with coming back to the hand-making of paper, and through it, researching the possibilities for personal artistic expression, with pride and presented daring on at least two basis: the simple reminding of the role of this human product in the development of the civilization as the most vide-spread container of data, decisions, thoughts and feelings – truths and lies; and – second, as medium itself for a pure artistic expression, with clear,
sophisticated painting language.
The presented pictures allow the artistic-consumer to “read” backwards, and to pre-read onwards. The techniques in this process is on the principle “ex nihilo” – plants, celluloses, maybe cotton and wool, pigments, technological experience, nurtured esthetics, education in art, and, above all, talent and an act of inspiration - results in a special painting medium, which the author – Alexandra Hadzi-Naumova presents, leaving a remark, which is to be respected.
In the act of creation in this art, the education and experience are of primarily importance for the process; in order to be precisely conducted and controlled, and to achieve the intended goal.
The author sews the artistic elements together with the creation of the very structure, basis and the painting. The effects of the final image are result of an undertaking “ala-prima”, in a kind of controller expressionist statement, without too many opportunities of additional interventions. The specifics of this technique, is the open possibility for sup-creation and collage, providing the vitality of the painting.
This artistic phenomenon and the painting approaches used in this medium, more then certainly require a solid fine-art preparation, outstanding knowledge and skills, profound concentration, precision in execution, visible painting nerve and, above all, creational inspiration of the artist – in order for this
paintings, artifacts, the process and the result to be in harmony and synergy, lead by the individualism of the author – Alexandra Hadzi-Naumova. Before us, the re-reading of the medium cellulose is being opened: the medium has made her way.
